Gliding Induction Course To qualify for a GIC course you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 13 years 3 months.
- Parent consent to fly signed in F3822 or record of service book.
- High level of motivation
- Have no temporary or permanent medical condition that would make flying unsafe for the cadet or the pilot
Gliding Scholarship To qualify for a GS course you must meet the following criteria:
- 16+ and medically fit.
- Parent consent to fly signed in F3822 or record of service book
- Completed leading cadet.
- Is fully prepared to maintain a regular attendance at the VGS (could be up to 5 weekends) or available for a one week continuous course.
Advanced Glider Training
AGT training is normally only available to cadets appointed as Flight Staff Cadets on a VGS.
AGT 1 is provided for selected GS Solo Qualified Cadets, after appointment to progress to the first stage of Advanced Glider Training.
The aim is to broaden flying experience and to develop their flying skills further.
Consists of a minimum of 10 addition launches, 5 solo
